South Wigston CC 'A' hosted Lutterworth Club 'B' in Division 2 and the night ended 459-460 in favour of the visitors.
The leg by leg told a story of a seesaw contest with five lead changes. Leg 1 was level at 64-64, Leg 2 saw South Wigston ahead 130-124, and Leg 3 stayed tied at 189-189. South Wigston moved ahead again in Leg 4 to 252-249, only for Leg 5 to swing the lead back to Lutterworth 322-321. Leg 6 pushed South Wigston back in front 386-385, and Leg 7 finished with Lutterworth taking it 75-73 for the final 460-459.
Jamie Last stood out for the home side with 80 in total, while Bill Zilberts top scored for the visitors with 67.
It was a night that was decided in the final throw and perfectly illustrated the drama this league can deliver leg by leg.
